Atos Research & Innovation (ARI) is the R&D hub for emerging technologies and a key reference for the whole Atos group. With almost 30 years of experience in running Research, Development and Innovation projects, we have become a well-known player in the EU context. Our multidisciplinary and multicultural team has the skills to cover all the activities needed to run projects successfully, from scientific leadership to partnership coordination, from development of emerging technologies to the exploitation of project outcomes, with a strong focus on dissemination, innovation adoption and commercialization. Within ARI, the Identity & Privacy Laboratory capabilities encompass a wide range of technologies in the security domains of electronic identity and access management, privacy by default and by design, personal data protection and biometrics. Secure identity schemes for Identity and Access Management and the protection of identity-related information in compliance with regulatory frameworks that guarantee citizen fundamental rights, are basic enablers of trust and security for end-users and the eco-system of stakeholders around ICT services. Thus, our research covers the whole lifecycle of identity with the aim of comprehensively securing corporate and personal identity in cyberspace. The laboratory leads research in highly innovative areas of context-aware and federated electronic identity & attribute management -As-A-Service (IDaaS/AttaaS), solutions for cross-border, cross-domain interoperable strong authentication for notified & web-based IDs, easily configurable authorization policy management and Trust Services aligned with eIDAS Regulation, ID theft & fraud prevention; user empowerment and convenience (i.e. bring-your-won ID with mobile & wearable devices combined with biometrics), state-of-the-art privacy by design methodologies, patterns and controls including advanced crypto-solutions for Cloud and other untrusted environments.
